LIBERTYVILLE, IL – Vinson Hall has become the latest new Member of Caring Communities, the nation’s leading member-owned insurance company providing liability insurance, education and risk management services for not-for-profit senior care and housing.

Vinson Hall Retirement Community is a Life Plan Community (formerly known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community or CCRC). It began as a labor of love, conceived by the Navy Officers’ Wives’ Club of Washington, D.C. to create a retirement home for widows and has flourished into a vibrant senior living community. Navy Marine Coast Guard Residence Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, was formed by the Naval Officer’s Wives’ Club of Washington D.C. to provide housing for military officers’ widows who were not left sufficient funds to live in dignity when their husbands passed away.

Today, the Foundation supports the programs and initiatives of Vinson Hall Retirement Community, a vibrant senior living community located in McLean, VA which was established in 1969. Vinson Hall independent living serves commissioned uniformed service officers and their immediate families as well as federal government employees with a similar military background. Assisted Living, Nursing Care, Memory Support, and Short-term Rehabilitation do not require military or government affiliation.
