This webinar will provide information on cost effective steps that can and should be taken to reduce the resident / patient risk for Legionnaires’ disease as well as the associated liability risk.

1. Factors that impact resident risk of Legionnaires’ disease in senior facilities (apartments, nursing homes, independent living)
2. Factors that impact liability risk associated with Legionnaires’ disease
3. Cost-effective actions to take to comply with ASHRAE 188 Standard and CMS Requirement to reduce Legionella Risk
4. Who should have facility leadership role in implementing a water management plan for Legionella control
5. Review of case studies to highlight what to do and what not to do in the event of a Legionnaire’ disease case
