LIBERTYVILLE, IL, 6/11/18 – Brethren Care Village has become the newest member of Caring Communities, the nation’s leading member-owned insurance company providing liability insurance, education and risk management services exclusively for not-for-profit senior care and housing providers.

“We were so happy to have Troy Snyder, CEO and Matt McFarland, CFO join us as our guests at Caring Communities Annual Meeting just prior to joining Caring Communities,” shared Jim Caldwell, President and CEO at Caring Communities. “We are sure this opportunity allowed them to gain the perspective that encouraged them to join. We are very proud to welcome them and all associated with Brethren Care Village to the Caring Communities family. We will enjoy working with everyone at Brethren Care Village.”

“The Brethren Care Family is honored to be part of another quality family with Caring Communities; being part of a non-profit group of like-minded organizations with quality at its forefront is extremely advantageous in today’s market,” Troy Snyder, CEO at Brethren Care Village said. “The breadth of services and support Caring Communities offers is refreshing to our Mission driven organization; we look forward to many years with our new Brethren.”

About Brethren Care Village
Brethren Care Village was established in 1972 with a gift of land (farmland) from the Fritzinger family to the Brethren National Church; located in the Heart of Ashland, OH. It all began with a Mission to care for widows of the church in the old “Farm House” and expanded with an old-fashioned nursing home that was eventually demolished and rebuilt. An assisted living home (as we know them today) was built which led to a true Continuing Care Retirement Community (Life Care Community) being developed. Today Brethren Care Village cares for almost 300 residents. In 2017 they began building a wellness center and community room for lifelong Learning, with an additional 12 market rate housing apartments.

Brethren Care Village broke away from the formal Brethren Church in the 1980’s; however, they hold strongly to the Mission and Values of their founders -despite the loss of one’s income (or spending down) Brethren Care Village will continue to care for those seniors and try every day to improve their quality of life with great individualized services and support in a Christian approach.
