Tammera “Tammy” Banasek, a partner with HeplerBroom LLC’s Chicago office, and is a dedicated litigator who has developed a special focus in defending medical and dental professionals, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities. She also counsels physicians, nurses and dentists in professional licensing matters. Ms. Banasek excels at remaining accessible and responsive to her clients’ needs. She is rated an AV Preeminent Attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, has been named an Illinois Super Lawyer, and has been awarded a Trial Lawyer Excellence Award by Jury Verdict Reporter. Banasek regularly speaks and publishes extensively on issues relating to healthcare litigation and risk management issues.Tammy earned her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School (n/k/a/ UIC Law School), graduating cum laude. She also holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from Northern Illinois University. She is licensed to practice in Illinois and is admitted to the bars of the Illinois Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
