Financial and market opportunities explored at annual meeting
LIBERTYVILLE, IL, 4/29/2016 – Caring Communities annual members, board and committee meetings were held March 30 – April 1, 2016, announcing outstanding 2015 results and exciting plans for 2016 and beyond. Management, board and committee members focused on plans to ensure Caring Communities continues to be the premier choice in professional and general liability insurance and risk management services for the nation’s leading non-profit aging services providers.
Chad Swigert, Chief Financial Officer of Caring Communities, reported impressive 2015 financial results, highlighted by another successful year where Members/Owners received a $4.36 million dividend payment, bringing the 10 year dividend total to $47.85 million. Mr. Swigert further reported that AM Best Rated “A” Caring Communities also realized an increase in assets, equity and revenues. Perhaps most impressively, the loss and expense ratios for 2015 were lower than the competition, at 42.9% and 23.4% respectively.
As part of its mission to ongoing quality improvement and risk management excellence, Caring Communities will also explore new risk measurement techniques and best practices for its members. Extensive claims data, gathered through 15 years of benchmarking, lends itself to cutting-edge approaches to risk management at both the campus and organization level. These innovative approaches are being shared at educational conferences, events and webinars.
Expanded insurance products and educational opportunities are also being explored, both in order to better serve a changing industry and to connect with other like-minded organizations.
